4 · Use the cut and glue rules

A condensed set treats separate pieces independently. It also joins answers on a cover when they agree wherever the cover repeats the same point.

Try this. In cut mode, choose any value on each separate piece. In glue mode, try equal and unequal values on the overlap. A value below exists only when the overlap values match.

These are the sheaf conditions in Definition 1.2. Proposition 2.8 says that gluing is automatic on extremally disconnected probes because every cover of such a probe has a section.
